Valentine’s Day 2020... An incident caused an overnight fire at work, and I lost my job. After 11 years of hard work and dedication, my career as Production Manager was over. A few weeks later the entire world shutdown because of an unknown virus. Companies closed their doors and stopped hiring.
Working for corporations was all I had done for almost 20 years. Never had I ever lost a job and it hurt to be "let go." I felt like my reputation had for ever been damaged. In the middle of a pandemic this unwanted carrier change couldn't have come in a worse time. I had to accept the reality and revamp my career. I reevaluated my goals and priorities, and I realized that there is more in life than just work hard and pay bills.
A couple of friends suggested a career in Real Estate where I could apply my personality and skills. Plus, I wouldn’t depend on anybody but myself to succeed. With the support of my family, I took the challenge, and finished the online course. Than it was time for the real test, after several hours in front of a computer at the test center in Atlanta, I got my license. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? Finally, I have the opportunity to run my own business and connect with people on a personal level.
It didn't take long for me to decide where I was going to hang my license. After an interview with Bob Allen I decided to join Greater Athens Property. At GAP I have had the opportunity to be part of a group of professional Real Estate Agents with hundreds of years of combined experience. Joining the largest privately owned brokerage in my hometown was a no-brainer.
Navigating the real estate market alone can be overwhelming and confusing to first time buyers. What I'm offering is my professional help and a process that makes buying a home simple and rewarding. I'll provide the information and support you need to make an educated decision. Buying a home should not be frustrating, it should be a great experience.
Years of combined experience at your service.
